So
of course the most important part of having an online business is having a good
product.
Now, chances are that if you are reading this you already have a
product, an idea of a product you can make, or a way of getting ahold of a
product to sell.
So obviously the list of
arts and crafts that you can make are endless. This picture just shows examples
of some of the important, and some of the obscure things people sell. The most
important thing to note in the images is the quality of photograph and the
quality of the item! Remember, you may have made this item by hand BUT you do
not want people to look at your item and say: “that’s cool but I can make that
myself”.
The next examples are
valid for painters, photographers, etc. They are just examples on how to sell
your artwork without just selling your original. And this way even if you
wanted to keep your original for whatever reason, you would then be able to
still profit on all your hard work!
So these examples range
from general prints on high quality papers all the way to something as obscure
as temporary tattoos! And to think that these are only a small number of the
possibilities you can do with your print! Now, I’m sure by now you may be
thinking: “I don’t know how to scan my print, or how to photograph my work” but
not to worry! The following post will be all about photography and scanning!
Another somewhat obscure
thing you can sell on etsy is “vintage & antique items”. This means
anything that is 20 years or older. So if you are a treasure hunter and have a
fair number of old items that you can keep finding, you can photograph them and
sell them online. Here are some examples of things you can sell.
These are just some of the
examples of the old treasures you can put on etsy.
Now if you are looking to
sell something newer than 20 years that you did not make yourself then ebay is
your website unless you plan to create your own website (which we will go over
eventually).
Okay, so the next post
will be all about “How – To Photograph your Product”. This way you if you are a
procrastinator (like I myself), you will have your photos finished before
setting up your website! This way you already have things to list as soon as
you set up your site with no excuses not to!
